Sammie Lyle is a Faculty Lecturer in the Department of Horticulture at the University of Kentucky. With a strong background in public horticulture and ornamental plants from Iowa State University, she is passionate about connecting students with plants through active learning experiences in the classroom. Aside from instruction, Sammie advises the Horticulture Club and co-manages the Department's website and social media platforms. Her research interests include horticulture teaching methods and technologies and subsequent student perceptions, sustainable cut flower performance and production, and horticulture career preparedness
