Amanda Broderick MPH

Cooperative Extension Agent | Family & Consumer Sciences & 4-H | Elliott County

Amanda Broderick serves as a Cooperative Extension Agent for Family & Consumer Sciences and 4-H at the Elliott County Extension Office. With a strong foundation in public and community health, Amanda is passionate about advancing community well-being through education, outreach, and innovative programming. Her professional interests center on disease trend analysis, community resilience, physical health and well-being, with a long-term goal of earning a Ph.D. to further her expertise and impact.

Aside from her professional endeavors Amanda is also passionate about improving community health and well-being through animal-assisted therapy programs, using therapy dogs as an innovative tool to reduce stress, support emotional regulation, and build social connections in schools, care settings, and community programs. These interactions not only improve mental well-being but also contribute to preventive health benefits such as lower blood pressure, improved immune response, and stronger social connections. These efforts create approachable, non-stigmatizing ways to promote mental and physical health, particularly in rural and underserved areas.
